The slope

We just finished a large project in Estacada at a new development. The back of this new home faces a slope on the edge of the woods. The amazing thing about this slope was the amount of water that seeped out of springs in the hillside. The challenge was to stabilize the bank and create a usable space. Here is the before photo.

Here are the after pictures. You can see we added many elements to this yard. A fire pit area that has rock retaining walls and a flagstone pad. We also added 3 very large raised vegetable beds into the hillside. These raised beds also helped to hold back the hill and pathway was installed below the beds. Rock steps take you to the bridge and then up to the walk way. There are also rock steps next to each raised bed and then the long flight to the top of the hill side. Here are the after pictures.
